walt and i are going to be away for a couple of days...we are going to ocean city to look for a house rental with at least 4 bedrooms, so we can go "down ne ocean" with everyone at the same time...mom sold the spinnaker apartment for more than $450,000.00 which isn't a bad return on a place they only spent $68,000.00 for...but, truth be told, the apartment was never large enough for "our" family, now that all the children are adults with kids of their own...and besides, it was a pain in the ass to clean up after ourselves...i know...i know...free pays for alot of cleaning...but i am a lazy traveler and i like to walk away from my mess...i mean really...where is the holiday if i am doing windows on my way out the door...
ok..so anyway, i was thinking, maybe instead of spending a month in ocean city maryland, we could spend 2 weeks in florida...we have rented in the orlando area before, and there are plenty of rental "villas" available...mary margaret votes for ocean city because it is close and easy to get to...but...it takes more than 4 hours to drive to ocean city...it only takes 2 1/2 hours to fly to orlando...now, i give you that flying is a pain in the arse, but you have disney world and universal to look forward to...all you got in ocean city is soggy funnel cake, and greedy seagulls...maybe if i throw in park tickets for the grandgirls, florida will look better...i just remember how great it was to have a huge pool all to ourselves...even if we did need to steal the pool toys from the rental next door...
how great will be to have everyone together?...doesn't really matter where we are, as long as i am babysitting...
still...florida is better...i am just saying...

I vote for Florida - and this time you should buy some pool toys. I still remember the shame of being caught stealing no make that borrowing (cos we did return it!) the noodles. Oh happy days....
